How do I book a photoshoot?

You can book a photoshoot through the contact form on this website, by email at pinja@pinjasphotography.com, by phone or WhatsApp at +358 44 053 1211, or by sending me a message on Instagram or LinkedIn.

If you call and I'm unable to answer, it would be great if you could send a quick message afterwards β€” I get a lot of calls, and although I always try to call back as soon as possible, sometimes we end up playing phone tag.

How far in advance should I book?

If you have a specific date in mind – especially popular graduation or celebration days – it's best to book early, sometimes even up to a year in advance.

For other types of sessions, availability can sometimes be found even within the same week.
Weekends, however, tend to book up several weeks ahead, so the earlier you reach out, the better. But it's always worth asking!

What should I wear to the photoshoot?

You can find some styling tips in this blog post.

I'm also more than happy to help you choose outfits that suit you and the type of session – just send me a message if you'd like some guidance!

How do I pay for the photoshoot?

You'll receive an invoice by email after your session.
For business clients, e-invoicing is also available.

Do you share my photos on your website or social media?

I never use client photos without explicit permission.
Your photos belong to you, and your privacy is very important to me.

What if I booked an outdoor session and it ends up raining?

If the weather doesn't cooperate, we can either reschedule your session or move it indoors, for example to my studio in Kallio, Helsinki.
We'll keep an eye on the forecast and confirm the plan together on the morning of your shoot.

Do you offer photoshoots in English?

Sure, no problem at all! I'm fluent in English and happy to use it. πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§

What if I get sick right before the shoot?

If you happen to fall ill, just send me a message β€” we'll find a new date for your session, no worries at all.

Where do you shoot?

I photograph clients all over Finland and also across Europe, working with both businesses and private clients.
Indoor sessions are also available at my studio in Helsinki.

What is the best time of day for a photoshoot?

In Finland, natural light varies greatly depending on the season. My signature photography style is based on soft, natural light, which is abundant in summer – almost around the clock. During this time, we can also take advantage of the beautiful sunrise and sunset light.

In winter, daylight hours are much shorter. From November to February, the best time for achieving that soft, natural look is between 10:00 and 14:00, ideally around 11:00–13:00.

I don't shoot in the studio using artificial light or during dark hours, as natural light is essential for my signature style.

For corporate and event photography, lighting conditions differ – event venues often have beautiful atmospheric lighting that suits a slightly more defined and contrasted look, while still maintaining my characteristic tone.

I also photograph in other parts of Europe, especially Italy – in the Milan area and around the lakes, where the light remains soft even during the winter months.

How should I prepare for a photoshoot?

You will always receive personalized guidance on clothing and preparation before your photoshoot. These instructions vary slightly depending on the type of session – whether it's a family shoot, corporate photoshoot, event coverage, or something else.
